For the first time since 2003 President Buhari
has won Nasarawa state, defeating Alhaji Atiku Abubakar by 37,896 votes.
According to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Lafia, the capital, President Buhari polled 279,315 votes to defeat Atiku who polled 241,419 votes.

Atiku won with a total of 275,901 to beat President Mohammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, APC who scored a total of 241,769.

President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has won the presidential election in Kogi State having polled overall votes of 285, 894 to defeat his main challenger, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar who polled 218,207 votes, as been declared by the Kogi State Collation Officer, Prof Michael Adikwu of the University of Abuja,

Buhari scored a total of 402,961 his main challenger, Atiku Abubakar of the PDP polled 138,484 in the state, officially announced by the state Collation Centre Officer and Vice Chancellor of the Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola, Professor Kyari Mohammed.
